Each of the groups below share a special spot in Critters and All's heart. Their logos link to the individual organization's website. |

![]() Minnesota Wisconsin Collie Rescue is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing Collies in need and finding new hope and new homes for them. MWCR rescues both smooth and rough Collies of all ages. Our Collies live in foster homes, receive medical care and good food, and are spayed/neutered before they go to their 'fur'ever homes. MWCR was founded in 2002 and has been taking in and placing over 100 Collies annually in recent years. We are about 100 members strong, with members and foster homes in several surrounding states, including Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, Nebraska, Michigan, and North and South Dakota (see the map on our website). Our website is www.mwcr.org, and we can be reached at collietalk@yahoo.com or through our rescue line 612-869-0480. |

![]() Misfit Acres is a 501c3 sanctuary and rescue which provides a permanent home where formerly "unlucky" horses can live out their remaining years safe from abuse and neglect. Check out their website at misfitacres.com to meet Lucky, a horse purchased from the "kill pen" to become a child's riding horse. Lucky is now the official mascot of Misfit Acres, which is located six miles south of Good Thunder, MN. Having been at several southern Minnesota events where Misfit Acres had booth space, Critters and All owner Linda was so impressed by their mission and dedication to the horses they care for that she now has hopes of being able to help them through her Critters and All website. |

![]() The original Faribault County Humane Society, located in rural southern Minnesota, was established in 1985, but its level of activity fluctuated considerably over the years, finally ending with its dissolution. In July of 2008, several dedicated individuals decided to re-establish this much needed organization! Prior to the Humane Society's inception, all animals brought into the pound were euthanized if they were not claimed. Since their re-establishment in July of 2008, they have saved every unclaimed animal that has come into the pound. This is something they are very proud of! Although they don't have a website at this time, information on their organization and available pets is available through Petfinder. Due to its rural location, this grassroots group doesn't have the funding and support that a lot of larger local rescues are able to avail themselves of. Please consider donating or adopting your next pet from this, or another rural shelter or society when considering who might most need your help. |
